Welcome! I am a community ecologist interested in understanding how microbial communities influence multitrophic interactions in natural and agricultural ecosystems. To do so, I utilize experiments and field studies, coupled with molecular and chemical techniques.
As a visiting professor at Davidson College, I teach Ecology, Agroecology, Biostatistics, and Introductory Biology. I engage my students to think critically across scientific disciplines and develop core skills in the process of science by incorporating hypothesis-driven research experiences and authentic assessments. I strive to create an inclusive learning community where students from all backgrounds and identities excel, feel represented as members of the scientific community, and are confident in their abilities to pursue careers in science. |
